It’s @ Kerala
These are the experiences that we had in our trip to Kerala...
October 1st (The D day-A Wednesday)
After days of planning and all, finally the day of trip arrived. We were a group of 35 members(23boys and 12girls). We all were requested to assemble near APS trust by 8:00pm.After a long time bus finally reached aps trust by 10:00pm... performed puja to the bus at bsk and we left Bangalore.

October 2nd (kodaikanal)
We reached kodaikanal at 12:00.climate there was like sitting in a Volvo bus.Freshup at silver cascade resort and had lunch.
Then in the evening we went for sightseeing in a jeep. Boating could not be done due to heavy rush. Just saw all places like upper lake view, pillar rock, suicidepoint (which was awesome). While returning in jeep we had a very good round of anthakshari.
Reached subramaniya temple.
Went for cycling and covered the whole lake which was around 5kms.
This was the most chilling experience…

We were waiting for our bus (bus had some problems with suspension) in a main road till 10:30pm.

The climate was very bad. Temperature was around 10-12 deg. But still Chama was in his trademark shorts. A stranger bought us some paper and we put fire. All heated up for 2 mins.

Bus came at 11:00pm and we left kodaikanal…

October 3rd (kanyakumari)
We reached kanyakumari at 9:30am
Got separate rooms for all. (i.e. 4 in a room).Roommates were Neel, suhas and sandeep.Freshup at 11:00
Went for boating and reached vv rock. Rock was full heated up. Some of the attractions here were:
• Meditation room
• Sunrise calendar e.t.c
Came back to our rooms and had lunch. Went for shopping (sea shells)
Went to kanyakumari temple
Next was sunset (view point building). Awesome experience here...
This was the best experience here:-
After sunset all of them went to beach on the left side of view point building and we went towards the right side...we were a group of 12 members (6 boys and 6 girls)
Intensity of the waves was enormous. We were shaken and rattled. No one was daring to touch or go near the water. At this time Neel took the initiative and took us to a rock very near to the waves. (It took us 2 mins to climb down the rock since it was very slippery!!)We sat there hoping just to touch water..
Things went the other way round..
All 12 of them were sitting on the rock except meena who was standing on the sand which was too dangerous. A small wave came towards us, we thought we would touch water at least now but 2 more big waves followed the same one… sandeep ran out yelling Tsunami. Yes it was but a mini one. Water rushed till my neck and I caught hold of one rock. Everyone were drained and meena was saved by Neel and others. Meanwhile suhas found some chappals…
I was the first one to run out of the water after draining so much. I reached out of the water in just 2 seconds and was on top. Monish followed me. Everyone was shocked. Thank god we got our lives back
I couldn’t forget those 12 members..
Sushma,usha,Asha,Meena,Nandini,Deepika
Syril,Monish,Sandeep,Suhas,Vinay v.k,Neelkanta(life saver)
Went for walking and nicely slept in our rooms

October 4th (Trivandrum)
Got up at 4:30 and went to see sunrise(amazing experience).. Mean while most of them were still sleeping. After sunset we played in the beach for a while.. Collected pebbles and took some snaps.
Horse riding: suhas,Neel,syril
Now this was a thrilling experience!!!Again Neel led us. He was the first one to go. The one thing we all learnt from this is that horse riding is a bit difficult. Every time I felt like falling off from the horse. Even though there was no such speed we felt scary, but it was thrilling.
We all returned to our rooms and freshup.suhas and sandeep again went to kanyakumari temple cause they liked it very much.. Suhas was lucky enough that he could shoot some videos inside the temple. No one noticed it!!!
We all packed our stuff and left our rooms. Sat inside the bus. In bus snacks were supplied by Mohan and vinay(turre).
After this we went directly to suchindra temple. There the priest told us some interesting story about the significance of that place. He also told that if we light mud lamps and wish for something all our wishes would be fulfilled. So we all lighted mud lamps with full of devotion. The temple had many gods in one place. Brahma,Vishnu, maheshwara, subramaniya, vinayaka e.t.c
Kovalam beach:
At first we all were a bit hesitating to go into the water. But it all started in style.. We decided to jump into the water in “Rock on” style.Neel, sandeep and all went first. I jumped into water in Rock on style and hurt my rock solid right leg in the process. This beach was easy to play. So we went deep inside. We all formed a human chain in circular shape and played very nicely. Had loads of fun there. Even though the waves was big, it was not so huge or enormous as it was in kanyakumari.
The next big thing was taking bath after playing in beach. This was the worst experience.10 to 12 members took bath in one single bathroom(yaaaaac)
Anantha padmanabha temple:
It was the first time ever we all saw each other in dothi's.we changed our dress in bus to switch over to dothi.guys like BC and raka wore belts even on dothi. They were looking very bad in that style
Speaking about the temple and its premises… the temple was 5000 years old!! The temple authorities were very very strict. We had an opportunity to have a special darshana of lord Vishnu. The special darshana started at 8:30pm and it lasted only for half an hour. The ambience there was very good. We all felt very devotional.
After this we had dinner and were just roaming around taking nice snaps. We left Trivandrum at 11:00pm..

October 5th (destination munnar)
We reached munnar at 10:30am.Before reaching our hotel(Minerva hotel) our bus stopped near a water fall which was 10-15 kms away from munnar i.e. at 7:30am.as soon as u enter munnar the first thing you would notice is the tea plantations.
Sightseeing:
Even though we had rooms, we didn’t stay there. We left for sightseeing in a jeep. We almost visited 6 to 7 places in jeep and the area we covered was around 20kms.the places are as follows:
i. Rose gardens: didn’t go inside rose gardens cause it was almost like lalbagh Botanical Park.
ii. Jungle honey bee nest: There was lots of bee hives. We just took a group photo here(all 35 members)
iii. Matupetty dam and boating: No boating could be done here also ,due to never ending queue. We just saw the dam and enjoyed. After this everyone went for shopping.
iv. Film shooting point: Nothing more to say about this place.. name itself says every thing

v. Echo point: This spot actually does not have any resemblance to its name. It’s very difficult to hear echoes. Sandeep got bitten by a leech and he was wounded. We had lots of expectations to do boating here but could not do(not because of rush and all)because everyone thought of doing it in the next spot

vi. Indo Swiss project: This place was same as film shooting point, the only difference was it had some water body at the bottom. Every one took advantage of my idea of taking a photo like fishing. But I was the last one to have that shot
vii. Kundale Lake: Our expectation of boating was shattered here also cause boating was “closed”. Suhas and monish took a photo sitting in the boat.( they were looking exhausted as if they had gone boating for 1 hour). We returned to our rooms a bit disappointed…
While returning to our rooms in jeep there was mimicry by sandeep and Chama
Next was campfire..
Campfire: (10:30pm-12:00pm)
Arrangement for campfire had been made earlier itself. The place was 3 kms from our rooms. Campfire was fun. Every one danced to the beats. We were a bit hesitating to start, but later we also joined the group and had lots of fun. I was the worst dancer out there!!! Madhu(D),shishir and shruthi danced superbly

October 6th (travelling day)
Today was almost like a rest day. We were simply travelling in bus. We left munnar at 11:45am. On the way back we visited the same waterfalls again. The name of the waterfalls is cheeyappara falls. We reached Cochin grand residency hotel at 7:15pm. The rooms here was way better than all other places and also the best one out of the three. We went for shopping after fresh up at 8:30pm….
Since this was the last stay we all were a bit disappointed and decided to have fun in our rooms. We were chatting, singing and was having lots of fun till 1:00am. All sorts of activities were going on in our rooms.. 

October 7th : (Cochin)
We got up early in the morning and freshed up. We went for boating in Cochin at 8:30 am. The cost was 200 rs per head for 3 hours. We visited many historical places. The main attractions here was:
• Snake boat which was 108 years old and had seating capacity for 86 people.
• There were many antiques shop here. Some went for shopping.
• Cochin synagogue: synagogue is a place of worship for Jews. We could see the Jewish culture out there(i.e. idol worship is forbidden in their religion)
• Next we went to Dutch palace which is now made into a resort. On the way to Dutch palace while travelling in boat we saw Cochin shipyard and some huge ships…
Again this boat had 2 floors. Ground floor made room for some of them to dance i.e. it was a dance floor. The top floor was meant to see the surrounding places. The view was very good. Lots of ships could be seen from here.
Came back and returned to bus and travelling once again started!! Next destination was guruvayoor. This was the place most of them were eagerly waiting for…
We reached guruvayoor by 5:45 pm. We all(i.e. monish, suhas, sandeep, vinay v.k and myself) dressed up quickly(in dhotis) and went to the temple first. Had lord Krishna’s darshana satisfactorily and returned back at 7:00pm..
The temple was huge. The experience of visiting this temple was simply superb.
All others were going inside the temple when we came back i.e. at 7:00pm. They had to wait in the queue for 1.5 hours.. We were the lucky ones.. In the mean while we went for shopping and purchased lots of goods. We left guruvayoor at 9:00pm.
Now it was just a matter of 12 hours to Bangalore…

October 8th (the final big disappointing day)
We reached Bangalore by around 9:00 in the morning huge disappointment was there.
I never had such a good experience in my life. This is definitely the best one.. All these are memories now and it remains there forever..
Hope we get to go to a trip again in our lifetime with all our classmates who were there and also the ones who were not there..
Cheers.
With warm regards.
